Local singer/songwriter, piano player, and acoustic guitarist Timothy John was under the spotlight recently for a few new promotional shots.  I just love playing with lighting and the low key look so everything can be focused on the musician to showcase the textures, emotions, and expressions of their music.  Part of why I love these in-home studio sessions is because of the sheer simplicity and beauty I think they can bring.  I set up a chair in the living room, used an off camera flash, and essentially just told Tim to play some songs.  Here’s some of what we got in our 10 minute mini session!  Be sure to check out some of Tim’s music here and be on the lookout for a record in the near future!
